Everything you need to know about Bicentennial quarters. We talk about the 1976 Bicentennial quarters and how valuable can a 1976 quarter be? This video cover. The coin you are probably referring to is the Washington bi-centennial quarter dated 1776-1976 which is worth in circulated condition $0.25 due to the huge amount of coinage for the piece. They are still commonly found in change despite the large coinage for the states' series of quarters. The bicentennial Washington quarter features a 1776-1976 date on the obverse and a colonial drummer on the reverse of the coin to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States of America. This coin was produced in both years of 1975 through 1976. All quarter dollars, half dollars, and dollars were struck with a special obverse for during 1975 and 1976, and were the first of America's 'modern' circulating commemoratives, and are currently also the only circulating commemoratives to not to be part of a long multi-year series, then followed by the state quarters.
